After the Storm

Cast a spell on me please.
Turn my pain into pleasure.
As I fall upon my knees
And at last my heart can beat.

Your pain became my pleasure,
But my own is not far gone.
Have I lost my sense of wonder,
Or can you light this dreary path.

You have more power than you think. Why do you think you're pulled in so many directions. Not just because you're scattered, entirely, but because you're capable of any of those things that pull you.

All you have to do is pick something that you're passionate about and do it. There will be the success you dream of. Don't be afraid of it, embrace it. you've been looking for the answer and it lies with you.

Choose something and run with it. Be your own cheerleader and celebrate the small acheivements along your path.

Confession to make

I have to admit to myself and all the strangers here, that I have a large amount of guilt for the way I've been living my life. Not that I've gone down the wrong path, or gotten mixed up with the wrong crowd, but that I've ignored my true gifts and ignored my true potential. I don't remember who said it, but the quote says, "Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of the unlived life."

Although I have a beautiful family, a home, usually a secure job, a great famly and life-long friends, I find myself on the edge of tears for not being the best "me" that I can be. I feel as though I've lost my way and am going through the motions as I chase the "American Dream". But I have to ask, "Who's dream is 'The American Dream'?" and why have I chosen to follow it instead of my own?

We all have unigue gifts and talents that can help us live amazing lives, but so often we ignore or doubt those gifts. I am working each day to open those parts of myself so that little-by-little, I can tap into my full potential and become the best "me" that I can.

It's time to "live" my life instead of being afraid. Once again the choice comes down to Love over Fear. I choose Love.

Serendipity - The Signs Are All Around You

When you're open to it, life reveals itself as serendipitous almost by default and things that seem to have occured coincidentally are actually a result of energy magnetism within the universe. When things seem to fall into place almost as if on purpose, you have to ask yourself, "Who's pulling the strings?".

You see, everything is energy and energy is everything. Your thoughts are physically generating energy with frequencies that go out into the world and affect the universal energy. At a quantum level, we really do get what we give. Not so much as an equal result of karma, but thoughts and emotions that are put out, attract and affect other energies in our worlds. You are the one pulling your own strings. You are the master of your universe.

I recently found myself involved in a coversation with a new friend whom I've never met that was so serendipitous that it gave me chills. The topics I brought up were the very same that he was currently writing about or had recently been discussing with other people in his life. The uncanny connection of things felt as though it were on purpose; as if we were connected on a level much deeper than our business transaction. That our chance meeting for the purpose of conducting business was not chance at all and we were meant to get to know one another on this deeper level. Our lives have been enlightened by our conversations in a way that provided each of us exactly what we needed at exactly the right time. He shared something with me that is still with me every day, "Now, when you get some time free from the jobs of raising your family and making a living, open your computer and write. Feed your children on your dreams." This simple statement brings tears to my eyes because it's as if my higher self is speaking through this friendly stranger and has actually motivated me to begin this blog. (Thank you Brandon!)

You've probably experienced similar serendipities in your life. You begin researching a new topic, business idea, health regimine, reading a book, etc. and then all of a sudden you meet someone who contributes to your new path perfectly. Almost as if you'd requested them in a catalogue to help you along your way. An old friend may have randomly contacted you out of the blue and said just the right thing to let you know you're on the right path or to give you just the right nudge in the right direction.

Many people go through life not seeing any of the signs. They chalk it up as pure coincidence and think it strange, but fail to see what the universe was trying to show them. Although these chance encounters may be brief, if you're open to them, they will be "deep" in their meaning. You may not experience them again for a while or ever, but the impact of the events will linger long after.

Open yourself to the signs around you and the "coincidences" that you yourself have created with your desires and thoughts. Realize that everything you want is already here and you simply need to align yourself with the right energy to allow it all to flow into and through your existence.
